Theme: R&D Beyond Four Walls -- R&D is leveraging its boundary spanner role in both knowledge and technology by co-developing and innovating with new partners, suppliers, and customers. The Annual Meeting explores how organizations are pushing beyond the traditional value chain to adopt a more dynamic and integrated collaboration culture across the business enterprise. Topics and case studies focus on the role R&D plays in spotting, vetting, and validating new ideas and integrating their value into the business.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at where FM Global conducts research into exploring hazards and developing potential solutions to every kind of industrial property risk.

Fire, explosion, hurricane-force winds, and earthquake vibrations are all in a day's work at the FM Global Research Campus-the world's premier center devoted to preventing physical threats from turning into real-life catastrophes. Within its state-of-the-art labs, scientists simulate hazards like five-alarm fires, dust explosions or category five hurricanes, to visualize the risk in a safe and controlled environment.

The tour features visits to:

  1. The natural hazards lab, which simulates hurricane-force winds, hailstorms and earthquakes;
  2. The burn lab, which conducts research to understand loss from fireand a
  3. The viewing gallery, to witness a controlled dust explosio

FM Global will provide lunch and complimentary transportation to the Rhode Island facility and back to the Annual Meeting hotel or your regional airport departure (Boston or Providence) in the late afternoon.

No fee, pre-registration is required.

Learn more about Samuel Adams, American patriot and brewer, and experience the entire craft brewing process. Taste the specialty malts and smell the Hallertau hops used to brew Samuel Adams Boston Lager, and, of course, sample a few award winning beers. Only guests 21 and older with a valid ID will be able to sample on the tour. Non US or Canada guests must have a passport or copy of passport ID.

Attendees will get to participate in a private Morning Mash-In Tour which includes specialty tastings (in addition to the normal tour tastings) and a specialty glass.
